there was a time when i didn't like cherries. cuz i'd never tasted one, you see.
i'm not sure why i had the idea that cherries were nasty little balls of mouth rot.
then one day i tasted one and i was happily surprised at how good it was. i've been a cherry girl since. :-)
i know i've tasted bing and mt. ranier cherries. i'm not sure what others i've tasted.
i've just finished a big mug of cherries. most of them were juicy and sweet but some weren't. some were too soft (overripe) and some were bitter. :-(
i got them last weekend at the farmer's market. maybe i'll get more this weekend. not sure. i'd like to get locally grown this time but i don't think we grow cherries in this part of the country.
