here we go again y'all.
the debate is on gay adoption.
why?
are people making such a big deal about it, i mean.
all people who adopt should be put through the same rigorous procedures. period.
after all, if you replace the word "gay" with "Black", or "Jewish", or "women", or "high school drop outs", or any other word that represents a group of people who are not acceptable to another group of people...
y'all get the idea right?

The problem I have is when the government interferes with the First Amendment rights of religious-affiliated adoption agencies to practice their religion. If a religious agency wants to restrict their placements to married couples, or to members of their own religion, or what have you, that is their prerogative. Those who do not meet that agency's criteria have plenty of other options. Nobody is putting a gun to their head saying to use a religious agency, KWIM?
