okay y'all.
i done been outside quite a few times now and ain't seen not one falling thing.
baby bliss abandoned the land of the wide awake several hours ago. she's sleeping peacefully on the living room floor at my feet. she's wrapped in a snuggly-soft fleece blanket with her head perched on the large throw pillow we keep for floor huggers.
she and i went out a few times, once out front and a few more out on the balcony. we did notice that the sky appeared lighter and brighter--an almost reddish glow--close to the edges. we talked about it and i thought we might be experiencing an optical illusion.
but lil smart girl that she is, baby bliss said she thought the glow was related to the meteor showers and asked me how i knew it wasn't. i told her i would check.
and sho nuff, she was right.
so did anyone see (or hear about) the meteor shower?

I didn't see anything, either, so I am disappointed. I'd better be able to see the lunar eclipse later this month!
